At The Panoply, we think technology can provide a great career which is incidentally, pretty futureproof. That’s why, we’re working with our friends at BASH to sponsor 38 girls to attend a week-long festival of code this summer to get them excited about a career in the tech industry.
The girls, who will all be between the ages of 13 – 17, will have each mastered the basics of code. This will be their chance to take their skills to the next level and meet professionals who have actual paid jobs in the tech industry (that’s you!).
They will spend all week building their projects in regional hubs before coming together for the big finale weekend and celebration in Birmingham. The projects will involve building digital games, presenting data in weird and wonderful ways and adapting hardware to make stuff happen.
If you want to get involved in the festival, they are still looking for volunteers. You must be proficient in at least one programming language and be able to help out for two consecutive days between August 5th – 9th.
