Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of The Panoply

Neal is a serial tech entrepreneur having co-founded four companies that exited successfully with a combined value of £117m. He co-founded his first company at the age of 21 and, under the brand name of Jungle.com, that company went on to be sold to GUS for £37m. In 1996 he co-founded Xplora and sold it to Nasdaq-listed USWeb in 1998. Neal then co-founded Attenda, a managed services consultancy which went on to be sold for £72m; one part to Telecity Plc and the other to Darwin Private Equity. In 2006 he founded QuickStart Global, an off-shore IT service provider, which grew rapidly, and in 2010 was listed in the Sunday Times Tech-Track 100 at number 3, his second company in that list with Attenda having been listed at number 2 in 2001.

As we approach the end of a fantastic year, I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you.

Only one year in and we are already reflecting on some incredible growth and success. I am very proud of the talent that exists within this group and am amazed by the level of dedication and determination I see every day. Our business is successful because of each of you.

In the spirit of Christmas, we would like to donate £25 to a charity on your behalf. Please use the form below to select which charity you would like to support.

I hope you all manage to take a well-deserved break over the next few weeks and to spend some time with your loved ones.

2019 Christmas Give Charities

Providence Row

Providence Row tackles the root causes of homelessness to help people get off and stay off the streets. They offer an integrated service of crisis support, advice, recovery and learning and training programmes.

Rewilding Britain

This charity works to encourage rewilding in Britain – to reverse ecological decline and help tackle climate breakdown. Rewilding is the large-scale restoration of ecosystems where nature can take care of itself. It seeks to reinstate natural processes and, where appropriate, missing species – allowing them to shape the landscape and the habitats within.

Code your Future

Code your Future is a coding school for refugees and disadvantaged groups.  Through their eight-month programme, they teach students the technical and soft skills they need to become entry-level developers. They combine in-class training, led by experienced developers, alongside remote-learning assignments to provide the most comprehensive program possible.

*This year’s shortlisted charities have been voted for by the Impact Starling Squad. We hope that they cater to the diverse passions that exist within the group. If you would like to learn more about the shortlisting or due diligence process, please contact Bryony – Bryony.wilde@thepanoply.com.
