What are you currently working on?
I’m currently looking at streamlining the future of Talent Acquisition for Manifesto.
This means, defining best practices and the creation of bite size learning for hiring to ensure transparency across the business.
What is the most challenging aspect of your role?
I am generally quick, driven and determined however, in this particular role volume is generally a challenge especially being one person when we have a spike in hiring it can be seen as a mountain. More often than not, it is worth the wait for the right person.
What would you say are three key attributes required for the role?
Adaptability, tenacity and cohesion.
What most excites you about your role, what gets you up in the morning?
People, meeting new people and the opportunity to employ someone is probably the most rewarding part.
What are you currently reading, can you recommend anything?
I am currently reading ‘Mind Change’ by Susan Greenfield. In short, it’s about how ‘digital technology is leaving a mark on our brain.’ It particularly captured my interest as we have become extremely screen based in this past year in the face of Covid -19. Furthermore, it elaborates on the impact of concentration and brain cognition and how digital natives are more dependent on technology more than ever. Definitely worth a read.
Cats or dogs?
Simple, both. I currently don’t have either but, would definitely not mind either if I had the choice.
